Sweden identifies Ukraine as foreign policy top priority

Sweden has identified support for the Ukrainian state as a top priority in its foreign policy. The country is also making efforts to implement the "peace through strength" approach, stated President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Sweden has identified support for Ukraine as a top priority in its foreign policy. At a meeting with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, I thanked him for this and all the important support for our people, including efforts in coordination with other allies to implement the "peace through strength" approach," the statement said.
Zelenskyy noted that the parties discussed joint actions by European partners to restore a just and lasting peace, as well as to develop security guarantees.
"It is important to continue defense support for Ukraine, to put pressure on Russia with sanctions so that we can start negotiations from a position of strength. Putin will lose only to a strong Europe," the President of Ukraine emphasized.
Recently, Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson stated that Ukraine could still become a NATO member in the future. According to him, it is necessary to fulfill all the conditions of the Alliance.
