How to quickly get rid of belly fat

Starting a weight loss plan is not always easy. You may have discipline and willpower, but there simply won't be any results, explained Dr. Eric Berg.

Here are the 5 steps to achieve the goal suggested by Dr. Berg.

Keto diet

Dr. Berg recommends applying the popular keto diet, a low-carb, high-fat regimen associated with weight loss and other health benefits.

However, instead of fatty foods, the doctor recommended focusing on proteins.

Avoid seed oils

Although you are likely to increase the amount of fats you consume during the ketogenic regimen, Dr. Berg warned that there are some fats you should avoid. He explained that the increase in omega-6 fatty acids found in corn, soybean, cottonseed oil, rapeseed oil, safflower oil, and sunflower oil is associated with increased obesity.

According to him, consuming these oils will lead to weight gain more than sugar. Therefore, he recommended avoiding these "very inflammatory oils" if you want to lose weight.

Eat one big salad every day

Filled with potassium, magnesium, folic acid, vitamin C, and phytonutrients, the salad should be part of your daily menu when trying to get rid of belly fat.

Intermittent fasting

To enter a state of ketosis, the ketogenic diet will not work by itself. Periodic fasting is also required, explained the doctor. Although this popular diet has many different approaches, Dr. Berg recommends eating once daily.

"This will give you 23 hours of fasting, so not only is this going to be very powerful in causing your body to run on fat all day long, but you'll have so many other benefits - cognitive improvements, mood changes, reduction of inflammation," he said.


The last piece of the puzzle is, surprisingly, physical exercises. Dr. Berg advised choosing a combination of walking and high-intensity interval training.
