Strike on Russian military airfield Millerovo - Aftermath of attack revealed
At the Millerovo military airfield in Russia's Rostov region, damage was reported at least at three locations following a drone strike and subsequent fires yesterday. Satellite images of the airfield confirm this, according to Radio Svoboda.
The damage includes buildings in the technical maintenance section and a fuel and lubricants storage facility at the Millerovo airfield.
This damage occurred following a drone attack on the airfield during the night of July 20.
A post-strike satellite image reveals three fire hotspots. According to data from Wikimapia, these are:
- the first at the location of the technical maintenance hangar;
- the second in an open area;
- the third was at a site where one of the fuel and lubricants storage facilities was located.
It is also noted that satellite images do not show any visible damage to Russian aircraft following the drone strike on the airfield.
