Strike on Kryvyi Rih: Ukraine must convey important fact to US

Ukraine must convey to the US and other partners that Russia struck Kryvyi Rih with a missile carrying a cluster warhead. This will serve as proof of a Russian terrorist act, military expert Oleksii Hetman states in a comment to the RBC-Ukraine.
Hetman emphasized that the Russian missile strike on a residential neighborhood in Kryvyi Rih was a deliberate attack. This has been proven “indisputably.”
Also, according to the expert, it has already been proven that no missile debris fell in Kryvyi Rih.
“Because debris would be the case if (the missile had been shot down – ed.) by a Patriot at high altitude. Not because we wanted it to be so, but simply because a Patriot physically cannot shoot down at an altitude of 100 meters. It’s just technically impossible,” he explained.
The expert pointed out that the information from the Russian Defense Ministry about a strike allegedly targeting Ukrainian officers and foreign military instructors is also false.
“The main thing here is to provide factual evidence that this was a cluster munition. If this is handed over to the military personnel of any country, they will break it down clearly for the leadership of the US, the UK, Germany, etc. And then the leader of any country must understand that this action in Kryvyi Rih was a deliberate Russian attack against the civilian population, which is a war crime, which is a terrorist act,” Hetman stressed.

Let us remind you that Russia struck Kryvyi Rih with a ballistic missile on Friday, April 4. As it later turned out, the missile with a cluster warhead exploded in the air over a residential neighborhood. A children’s playground was located near the strike site.
After such a terrorist act, it is known that at least 20 people were killed. Among them were nine children.
US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, reacting to the attack, “forgot” even to mention that it was carried out by Russia. She simply called such a strike “yet another proof” that the war must end.
