Strike on Kharkiv: 18 high-rise buildings damaged, two people in critical condition
Yesterday evening, on September 22, the Russians attacked Kharkiv with guided bombs. As a result of the shelling, 18 high-rise residential buildings were damaged, and two people are in very serious condition, according to the city Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
According to him, one of the buildings was severely damaged. In particular, the building structure was displaced.
Terekhov notes that the work to eliminate the consequences of shelling is still underway. However, water and electricity have already been supplied to some houses.
“Utilities and volunteers are actively working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling. In particular, they are closing the window contours. We are checking communications. We have already supplied water and electricity to some houses. We will restore everything,” he said.
The mayor added that as a result of the attack, many people sought medical assistance. It is known that two of the victims are in very serious condition.
Terekhov also said that those who need it are being accommodated in dormitories. In particular, volunteers are providing the victims with food packages and other items.
The mayor of Kharkiv emphasized that the dynamics of shelling had increased. Therefore, he urged people not to ignore the air raid alarms.
“Kharkiv suffers from enemy attacks both day and night. Therefore, I appeal to the citizens not to ignore the air raid alarms,” Terekhov said.
According to the latest information from the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, 21 people have sought medical assistance as a result of the Russian strike on Kharkiv. Three of them are children.
