State Department reacts to Lavrov's new ideas on Ukraine

Further decisions by US President Donald Trump regarding Ukraine and Russia will be made after he reviews the new proposals delivered by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, stated US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
Bruce confirmed that Lavrov handed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio new ideas related to the war in Ukraine. It is now up to Trump to examine them.
At the same time, Bruce declined to provide details about the meeting between Lavrov and Rubio. She added only that the final decision on the United States' next steps rests with President Trump - the State Department's role was to deliver the Russian proposals.
On July 10, Rubio said he had met with Lavrov. During the meeting, the Russian minister presented a proposal from the Kremlin that outlines "a new and different approach" to resolving the war in Ukraine.
According to Rubio, the talks with Lavrov were frank and important. They also discussed issues unrelated to the war in Ukraine. As for the proposals, he assured that the documents would be delivered to Trump as soon as possible.
