Start your day right: 3 breakfast options for satiety and weight loss

Breakfast is not just the first meal of the day, but an important start for the body, especially during weight loss. It affects energy levels, metabolism, and even appetite throughout the day. What dishes can help shed excess weight without harming your health, according to The Mirror.
Nutritionist Reema Pillai shared several quick and easy breakfast options for those who are often in a rush to get to work in the morning.
She emphasized that starting the day with a balanced and nutritious meal sets the tone for the day, satisfying hunger and keeping energy levels stable throughout the day. A good choice would be a source of protein, fiber, and healthy fats.
Oatmeal for breakfast
Oats can be used to make a delicious and healthy dessert. You can prepare oats and add honey or jam.
Oats are rich in fiber, which promotes the release of GLP-1, a hormone that is synthetically made for injections like Ozempic. This signals to the brain that you're full, so you won't snack.
To make the oats, you’ll need five tablespoons of oats mixed with 200 ml of milk and a couple of tablespoons of Greek yogurt. The oats should have enough liquid to absorb. Then, you can add any toppings, such as fruits, nuts, or seeds, and leave it overnight. The next morning, you can enjoy it warmed up or straight from the fridge.
Egg muffins
If you prefer a savory breakfast, egg muffins are a great option. They are high in protein and low in calories, making them an ideal breakfast for those looking to lose weight.
You can make a large batch and eat it all week.
"Make a large batch of an omelette mixture and then split these into muffin cases and bake. Mix in spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms for a fibre boost, plus a bit of cheese, herbs and spring onions for flavour," explained the expert.
For more flavor, you can add feta cheese and olives. The nutritionist advised using six eggs for a batch of 12 muffins and baking for about 20 minutes at 180°C.
Cheese toast
Cheese is a great source of protein and also helps to keep the body satisfied in the morning. If you simply place it on a slice of toast, a 100g serving will contain 11g of protein and just 160 calories.
