'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' breaks box-office records: How much has it earned
Still from “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”
The new superhero movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland, continues to break box-office records. In less than three weeks in theaters, the film has grossed more than $2 billion worldwide and joined a very short list of movies that have managed to reach this milestone, according to ScreenDaily.
How much has the new “Spider-Man” earned?
The worldwide box office of Spider-Man: Brand New Day has surpassed $2.02 billion.
The film has earned around $785.8 million in North America, while its international box office has exceeded $1.2 billion.
This makes the film only the eighth movie in worldwide box-office history to cross the $2 billion mark.
The new Spider-Man has also achieved another major milestone — it has become Sony Pictures’ highest-grossing film of all time, surpassing the previous installment in the franchise, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The latter previously grossed around $1.9 billion worldwide.
The new film has already surpassed that figure, becoming the most successful Spider-Man movie ever.

Another record for Tom Holland’s film
The speed at which the blockbuster reached $2 billion is just as impressive.
In this regard, Spider-Man: Brand New Day was surpassed only by Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame.” This means the film starring Tom Holland has become the second-fastest movie in history to reach the $2 billion mark.
It was already clear during its opening weekend that the film was on track to become one of the year’s biggest box-office successes.
During its first weekend, Brand New Day grossed around $932 million worldwide, marking the second-biggest global opening in history after Avengers: Endgame.
The film also crossed the $1 billion mark in just six days of release — at that point, it was again surpassed in speed only by the final Avengers movie.
By the way, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the fourth solo film about Peter Parker starring Tom Holland.

The film was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon also returned to their roles, while the cast was joined by, among others, Sadie Sink and Jon Bernthal.
The film was released following Spider-Man: No Way Home, which remained the franchise’s highest-grossing installment and Sony’s most successful film for a long time.
However, Brand New Day took less than three weeks to surpass its predecessor’s result and set a new all-time box-office record for the franchise.
