After two unsuccessful rocket launches, SpaceX is gearing up for the third launch of Starship. The company has shared photos of the preparations for the flight.

SpaceX has prepared the launch vehicle and the Starship spacecraft for a new launch. The company released photos from the Starbase facility in South Texas, showing that the launch vehicle and spacecraft are already in place.

One of the photos also captures the recently installed neon sign that reads "Gateway to Mars."

In addition to technical readiness, companies also need approval for launch from the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Starship launches

The first Starship launch on April 20 ended in failure. Some Raptor engines on the Super Heavy booster malfunctioned, leading to instability and the rocket's collapse. Elon Musk said that multiple attempts might be necessary for a successful Starship launch.

On November 16, SpaceX received FAA approval for the Starship launch.

SpaceX faced another setback during the second launch of its Starship spacecraft. The rocket reached an altitude of 148 kilometers, but communication was lost shortly after liftoff.

Elon Musk's Starship rocket is a key component of his plan to transport cargo and people to Mars.
