Soon you will see Gaza from inside: Israeli Defense Minister states in address to IDF
Israeli military can currently see the Gaza Strip from afar and will soon be able to see it from the inside, according to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The news agency reports that this could signify an approaching ground operation by Israeli forces.
"You see Gaza now from a distance, you will soon see it from inside. The command will come," the minister stated.
Israel has ordered over 1 million Palestinians to evacuate to the south ahead of the expected ground offensive.
Israeli military stated over the weekend that they were prepared for a significant operation by land, sea, and air, without specifying when it would take place.
Hamas attack on Israel
On October 7, Hamas terrorists launched an attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip. Militants took hostages, killed hundreds of civilians, and gained control of some military assets.
Israel declared a "state of war" and initiated the counterterrorism Operation "Iron Swords". Israel later pledged to eradicate the Hamas terrorist group following the deadliest attack on the Jewish civilian population since the Holocaust.
Israel stated there would be no humanitarian breakthrough in the Gaza Strip's blockade until all hostages captured by Hamas were released.
Previously, it was reported that on October 17, the Israeli army eliminated one of the leaders of Hamas, and this moment was captured on video.
