Snoop Dogg's granddaughter dies at just 10 months old

Cori Broadus, the daughter of American rapper Snoop Dogg, has announced the death of her 10-month-old daughter, Kody Dreo. The infant passed away on Monday, just 20 days after being discharged from the neonatal intensive care unit, according to a post on the Instagram account of Snoop Dogg's daughter.
Premature birth and a long fight
Kody was born in late February 2025, three months premature. She was the first child of Cori and her fiancé, photographer Wayne Deuce.
After birth, the baby spent several months in the neonatal intensive care unit, fighting for her life.
In early January, Cori shared hopeful news on Instagram about her daughter returning home.
She wrote, "She’s home," thanked everyone for their prayers, and said that God had heard them all. However, just a few weeks later, that hope turned into unbearable grief.
On Saturday, Cori posted a black-and-white photo holding her daughter in her arms and confessed that she had lost "the love of my life."

Later, she reacted with grief to her own post about the hospital discharge.
"20 days later?! dawg im sick," the rapper’s daughter wrote.

Wayne Deuce also shared a touching photo with his daughter, writing that he is deeply grieving but believes that Kody is now at peace.
He assured that he will always love his little girl and added a hashtag in her honor.

Cori shared a post from Kody’s nanny, who posted a video of a mobile over the crib and admitted that she had been unable to hold back tears for several days.
The woman wrote that she had bathed the baby for the last time and told her "I love you," not realizing she was preparing her for a farewell to this world.
She added that the child’s parents will always remain a part of her heart.
Cori had spoken about her premature birth last year, admitting that she cried a lot and blamed herself for not being able to give her daughter everything she needed.

The complications were caused by HELLP syndrome, a dangerous form of preeclampsia.
The situation was further complicated by Cori's own health issues: she has suffered from lupus since childhood and experienced a stroke in early 2024, making her pregnancy high-risk.
Just a few months ago, Snoop Dogg's daughter spoke lovingly about her baby, describing her as incredibly strong and bright.

Doctors and nurses noted Kody's alertness and strong character, reassuring her mother that even in difficult circumstances, her child was showing remarkable strength.
