Simon Fisher-Becker, Harry Potter and Doctor Who star, dies

British actor Simon Fisher-Becker, known for his roles in the Harry Potter and Doctor Who films, died on Sunday, March 9. He was 63 years old.
"Hi everyone. I'm Tony, Simon's husband. I have some very sad news. At 2:50 this afternoon Simon passed away. I will keep this account open for a while. I'm not sure at this time if I will post again. Thank you," the actor's husband in a post on Fisher-Becker's Facebook page.
The cause of death was not reported.

At the same time, his agent Kim Barry of Jaffrey Management also confirmed to the media that the actor died on Sunday.
"Today I not only lost a client like Simon Fisher-Becker, but also a very close personal friend for 15 years. I will never forget the phone call I made to him when he was offered the role of Dorium Moldovar in BBC's 'Doctor Who'," she told Metro.
She also said that Simon was a writer, storyteller, and a great public speaker.
"He was a great help to me, he was kind, gracious, and interested in everyone. My condolences go out to his husband Tony, brother, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones, as well as his legion of fans," Kim Barry concluded.

What is known about Simon Fisher-Becker
The future actor was born on November 25, 1961 in London. He made his film debut in 1990.
He starred in classic TV shows and also played a role in the Oscar-winning movie musical Les Miserables in 2012.
Many fans know him for his role as intergalactic trader Dorium Maldovar in Doctor Who, a sci-fi franchise from the BBC. His blue-skinned character appeared in the fifth and sixth seasons.
Another memorable role of the British actor is the ghost of the Fat Monk in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001). As a reminder, the Fat Monk is the ghost of the Hufflepuff department at Hogwarts.
