Shooting near Moscow: First footage from inside burned shopping center
Photos of the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, where the shooting began on the evening of March 22, have been posted on social media, according to Russian media.
Andrey Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, reported that the dismantling of structures is currently underway. Some hotspots remain, but the fire has mostly been extinguished.
Rescuers were able to enter the auditorium, where there was a high temperature for a long time and where the fire started. The roof over the auditorium has collapsed, and the debris removal is still ongoing.
Shooting near Moscow on March 22
On the evening of March 22, a shooting occurred at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow. According to witnesses, several people opened fire with automatic weapons. Several people were cut off by the fire, so firefighters could not start extinguishing it.
Representatives of the FSB stated that 40 people were killed and over 100 were injured as a result of the shooting.
The Mayor of Moscow ordered to provide all necessary assistance to those affected by the incident and decided to cancel all sports, cultural, and other mass events in Moscow this weekend.
