Shelling in Kharkiv

On the afternoon of June 30, an explosion occurred in Kharkiv. As the mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, immediately reported, the Russians hit a civilian enterprise with a guided aerial bomb almost in the center of Kharkiv. Initially, five people were reported injured, but later the number increased.

Kharkiv has recently been regularly hit by bomb strikes. The other day, the Russians dropped an FAB-500 guided bomb on the city for the first time. It is twice as powerful as the bombs that Russians have dropped on Kharkiv before.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that air defense systems would not help protect Ukraine from Russian guided bombs. For this purpose, he said, the Ukrainian army needs long-range weapons.
