In Odesa, during an air raid, a Russian Shahed attack drone hit a residential building, reports the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

"Debris from a downed drone damaged a high-rise building in Odesa. A fire broke out. Specialists are working. Information about the victims is being clarified," the statement said.

The Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine also confirmed the hit and the fire.

"A fire broke out in a high-rise building as a result of the fall of the wreckage of a downed kamikaze drone sent by the enemy through residential areas of Odesa. Information on the scale of destruction and casualties is being clarified. Relevant services are working at the risk of their lives to rescue people," the statement said.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

On Thursday evening, December 28, Russian invaders once again attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones in the south and east of the country.

The Russians also shelled eight communities in the Sumy region, and a woman was wounded.
