In Odesa, damage to civilian infrastructure has been recorded as a result of an enemy attack using Shahed kamikaze drones overnight, according to Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration (ORMA).

The official noted that there were no casualties or victims in the city as a result of the enemy's aerial attack.

"The strike of the enemy drone damaged an unfinished high-rise building, shattering glass. Damage to an educational institution building was also recorded - the roof and floors were pierced, and windows were broken. No fires were reported," he said.

All relevant services are working at the scene, added the head of the administration.

He also emphasized that the air defense units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully engaged the majority of enemy targets.

Nighttime attack by Shahed drones in Ukraine

On the evening of February 7 and during the night of February 8, air raid sirens were sounded in several regions of Ukraine due to another Russian attack using barrage munitions.

Later, it became known that in the Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, air defense forces shot down an enemy Shahed kamikaze drone.

During the night of February 8, several explosions were heard in Odesa, where air defense operations were also ongoing. Explosions were also reported in Mykolaiv.
