Several US and coalition soldiers injured as a result in Syria
Several US and coalition service members were injured in a drone attack in Syria on Friday, according to Reuters.
A US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the agency that the injuries were not serious, but some troops were moved to a separate location for further evaluation.
It should be noted that on August 10, US forces in northeastern Syria came under a drone attack. The incident occurred in the Rumelin drop zone, where American troops are stationed along with coalition forces led by the US.
This marks the second attack on US forces in the Middle East in recent days.
On Monday, August 5, a rocket strike targeted a military base in Iraq housing US and other coalition forces. Two Reuters sources within the Iraqi security forces reported that the base was hit by two Katyusha rockets, injuring at least five US service members.
