Seven people were injured in a Russian attack on two villages in the Kharkiv region. The number of wounded has increased significantly, informs the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"Seven people were injured as a result of a morning attack on Kharkiv suburbs," the statement said.

The villages of Vasyshcheve and Bezliudivka suffered damage to residential and administrative buildings. Fires broke out at a local enterprise.

Rescuers, pyrotechnicians, and the local fire brigade worked at the scene.

Russian attack on the Kharkiv region

The Russian army struck two villages in the Kharkiv region with cluster munitions on May 31. Initial reports said three people were wounded.

Earlier, explosions were reported in the Kharkiv region. Later, it was confirmed that the blasts heard in Kharkiv occurred outside the city limits.
