The modern pace of life is filled with stress, which can negatively impact our hearts. It's worth knowing how our health can deteriorate due to stress, according to the Instagram of cardiologist Natalia Ivaniuk.

How stress harms the heart

According to the doctor, cardiological studies indicate that constant stress can lead to increased blood pressure, pulse, and affect other parameters crucial for heart health.

Stress activates the production of adrenaline and cortisol, which can induce feelings of tension and increase the workload on the heart.

Elevated blood pressure levels, in turn, can threaten arterial hypertension, which is a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases.

Therefore, for individuals at risk, finding effective stress control methods is extremely important.

What to do to maintain health

Regular physical exercises, relaxation techniques, balanced nutrition – these will help preserve your mental state.

Taking care of yourself and not allowing external stress triggers to affect you is essential.

Friends and family should always be there during challenging periods in your life. Being with those who support you will give you strength to keep moving forward when life becomes too burdensome. Support from loved ones will provide you with a tremendous influx of energy and positive thoughts.

Even during the toughest times, laughter or a simple smile will make you feel much better. Laughter releases endorphins (happiness hormones) that naturally reduce stress levels and help relax. When you feel your psychological state nearing a breaking point, perhaps a good dose of laughter might be the best medicine.

Our behavior and lifestyle also contribute to stress. They may not always be the direct cause of stress, but they affect our body's resistance and psychological resilience to stress.
