School and homes hit as Russian forces target Kyiv region

Russian forces launched an overnight drone attack on Ukraine in the early hours of July 5. In the Kyiv region, enemy drones damaged a school, residential buildings, and a vehicle, according to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration on Telegram.
"Another overnight drone attack on Kyiv region. Civilian settlements in our region came under fire. Air defense forces were active across the region. Some enemy targets were shot down. No civilian casualties," the administration said.
It was also reported that in the Boryspil district, the attack damaged a school building, a boiler house, a shop, a cultural center, a private house, and a car. "Doors and windows were shattered, and building facades were pitted by shrapnel," the statement added.
"Emergency services continue to document the aftermath of the enemy attack," the regional military administration added.
Night drone attack on Ukraine
Russian forces launched a strike on Ukrainian territory with attack drones last night, July 5. The southern, eastern, and northern regions of the country came under fire.
Late in the evening, explosions were heard in Kyiv. In Dnipropetrovsk region, three people were injured after the strike — two women and one man. Five summer houses were also damaged.
Additionally, the occupiers shelled the cities of Chuhuiv and Kupiansk in Kharkiv region. There are casualties, including a child. The regional administration noted that three people were reported injured in Chuhuiv, including a 12-year-old boy.
