The Russians promise to take away cars from Ukrainians who do not receive a Russian passport starting in 2025. In particular, starting next year, everyone will have to insure their cars with Russian companies, which requires a relevant document, according to the National Resistance Center.

The Russians have announced the end of the "transition period" for car insurance in the temporarily occupied territories.

"From January 1, 2025, everyone must insure their cars with Russian companies. However, to do so, one must have a Russian passport. Without insurance, the enemy threatens owners with vehicle confiscation," the statement says.

The National Resistance Center emphasizes that the enemy is forcibly issuing passports to Ukrainians, blackmailing them as part of a policy that denies the existence of the Ukrainian nation. Despite this, the local population is refraining from obtaining Russian documents.

"The National Resistance Center urges the local population to avoid obtaining passports and to sabotage the enemy's initiatives whenever possible. However, remember that the main value is your life," the National Resistance Center notes.

Russian passports in occupied territories

Russians threaten to deport Ukrainians if they refuse Russian passports.

Previously, we reported that the Russians devised a new scheme to seize housing from residents in the temporarily occupied territories. Specifically, declaring the housing as unsafe is enough for this purpose.

Notably, even those who stayed in the occupied territories and registered property ownership according to Russian law face the threat of losing their homes.

It should also be noted that the enemy does not register pregnant women without a Russian passport
