Russians strike at educational institution in Sumy
Tonight, on September 1, Russia attacked the city of Sumy once again. The enemy hit a building of an educational institution, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
A missile strike targeted an educational institution housing a children's social and psychological rehabilitation center and an orphanage.
According to the regional military administration, the missile struck a building located in a residential area of the city.
All necessary emergency services are currently at the scene, providing medical assistance to those affected. The extent of damage from the latest Russian attack is still being assessed.
"We will never forgive the enemy for their crimes! They will be held accountable for the tears of our children," the statement read.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration also urged people to follow safety protocols and not ignore air raid warnings.
Later, it was reported that two children — a 7-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl — were injured in the Russian shelling, according to Suspilne.

The city council informed that four people were hospitalized, and about 400 windows in residential buildings were damaged.
The deputy mayor of the city Stanislav Polyakov added that work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the emergency, with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine specialists and city council units actively involved.
At 11:46 PM (according to the Kyiv time zone), the Sumy City Council reported that the number of victims of the Russian shelling had risen to 13.
It was noted that four people were admitted to the hospital, four received medical care on-site, and five will undergo outpatient treatment.
