Russian soldiers kidnapped a minor girl to use her as a human shield for the advance of their groups, the Third Army Corps of Ukrainian Armed Forces reports.

In the area of the village of Shandryholove, Kramatorsk district, Russian forces shot a family of civilians. The Russians took a minor girl hostage to cover their group and further advance in the Lyman direction, so that the Ukrainian military could not open fire.

Radio intercepts revealed that even before the assault on the village began, a Russian commander with the callsign Bali gave the order to eliminate the civilian population, instructing his troops to act quickly and to "kill everyone indiscriminately."

The Russian unit entered a residential house and shot the child’s parents. The enemy's actions were clearly premeditated, which is confirmed by all radio intercepts and real-time observations by units of the Third Army Corps.

Russia’s war crimes

Earlier, a Russian soldier shot dead a civilian resident of the village of Novoekonomichne near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. The Russian soldier hid behind a garage of a private household. Seeing a man in the yard, he aimed and killed the civilian with an automatic weapon.

Russian forces systematically commit war crimes. In particular, enemy commanders order the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war.

Evidence of such crimes was published by the American TV channel CNN.

On August 25, Russia began the process of exiting the European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that about 90% of Ukrainian prisoners of war are subjected to torture in Russia.
