Russians shell market downtown Kherson, seven dead reported

Today, October 1, Russian forces shelled a market in the city center of Kherson, resulting in seven fatalities so far, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Market stalls were hit during the attack.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office indicated that the strikes occurred around 9:00 AM, likely carried out by artillery. Seven people were killed in the shelling, including three women and four men.
Additionally, three people were wounded and are currently receiving medical care.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into violations of the laws and customs of war.
Russian shelling of Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has regularly carried out heavy shelling across Ukraine. In particular, frontline settlements are bombarded daily, and nearly every night, unmanned aerial vehicles are launched.
On the night of October 1, terrorists attacked Ukraine with 32 Shahed-type drones. Twenty-nine UAVs were destroyed during the defense efforts, while three others were lost due to electronic warfare countermeasures.
