Russians shell Kherson region with artillery, casualty reported
Russian occupants launched an artillery strike on Zolota Balka in the Novooleksandrivka community of the Kherson region. A 69-year-old civilian was wounded, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
"The Russians attacked Zolota Balka of the Novooleksandrivka community. Russian artillery struck the civilian settlement about five times. Due to the shelling, a utility structure was destroyed. A 69-year-old man sustained minor injuries," the statement reads.
The injured civilian was hospitalized.
The situation in the Kherson region
After the de-occupation of the right bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, Russians almost daily shell the region, particularly Kherson. They use heavy weaponry and aviation.
On August 19, Russian occupants carried out 77 shelling incidents on the region's territory. In total, the terrorists fired 422 shells, including 14 in Kherson. As a result of the shelling, one civilian was killed, and another one was wounded.
