Shelling of Kherson
Russian forces continue to shell Kherson and the right bank of the Kherson region even after Ukrainian defense forces regained control of these settlements in the fall of 2022, following the complete seizure of the region by the Russian Federation in February 2022.
On the night of January 5, the Russian army launched three Grad missiles at the Vysoke village. A modular town was hit, with seven people injured as a result. Russian forces continued shelling the Dniprovsky district of Kherson during the day on January 5. A humanitarian warehouse caught fire due to the attack, and four people were injured.
Furthermore, on December 26, occupiers shelled the railway station in Kherson. A 29-year-old police officer from the Kirovohrad region was killed, while two police officers from the Kherson region and two civilians were injured.
