Russians shell Ivano-Frankivsk region with drones and missiles
On Friday, March 22, Russians launched missiles and Shahed drones at Ivano-Frankivsk region in the west of Ukraine, hitting critical infrastructure, according to the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk.
"Yesterday the capital was under heavy attack, today it's Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih. Hits have been recorded in Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi regions as well. Several cities are experiencing power supply issues," Onyshchuk wrote.
Explosions were heard in the Carpathian region as well, with the enemy launching Shahed drones and missiles, hitting critical infrastructure.
According to preliminary information, one person was injured. There have been no disruptions in electricity supply in the region. Rescue teams from the State Emergency Service are on site.
Russia has carried out one of the most massive attack on Ukraine's energy system recently. Hits have been recorded on generation facilities and distribution systems in various regions.
Additionally, overnight, Russians launched missiles at Khmelnytskyi region, leaving several cities without power. The attacks in Khmelnytskyi, Shepetivka, Staryi Kostiantyniv, Krasyliv, and surrounding villages resulted in power outages.
