Situation in Crimea
Russian troops occupied the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea in 2014. Yalta, among other places, fell under occupation.
Since then, the invaders have turned the peninsula into a hub for their military needs. Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been striking Crimea.
In connection with this, the occupiers have set up a large number of firing points on the beaches in Crimea.
