Russians in southern Ukraine impose travel ban between cities: Ukrainian General Staff states
The Russian military has intensified filtration measures in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"During the period from August 15 to 26, a ban on any movement of the civilian population in the area between Hola Prystan and the Kinburn Spit has been established," the statement reads.
It is noted that mass searches of residential premises and phone checks are being carried out.
"The main attention is given to residents who have SIM cards from Ukrainian operators," the General Staff added.
Situation in the occupied territories of Ukraine
Earlier, it was reported that in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region, Russians are conducting searches of locals' homes in search of guerrillas.
The occupational "authorities" are also searching for guerrillas in temporarily occupied Melitopol. The so-called "police officers" conduct raids on public transport.
In the temporarily occupied Mariupol of the the Donetsk region, Russians are screening teenagers for their involvement in the partisan movement.
