The incident was brought to light following media reports of a shooting incident orchestrated by Russian military on January 10, 2024, in the temporarily occupied city of Oleshky. A local resident lost their life due to the indiscriminate firing, according to the statement.
Investigation underway
A criminal investigation has been initiated to probe the violation of laws and customs of war, coupled with intentional murder. Law enforcement is currently unraveling all the details, with the investigation entrusted to the detectives of the Main Department of the National Police in the Kherson region.
