Russians drown trying to land on Dnipro River islands
Russian servicemen from the 61st Separate Marine Brigade of the Russian Northern Fleet suffered losses during an unsuccessful operation on the island of Bilohrudyi in the Dnipro Delta, the ATESH guerrilla movement reports.
According to an agent of the ATESH movement, who is a member of the 61st Separate Marine Brigade of the Russian Northern Fleet, two Russian soldiers were hit by a Ukrainian drone, lost control of their jet ski, and drowned.
“Such incidents are common in the Russian military. The reason is poor or no training and difficult terrain conditions that soldiers are simply unable to cope with,” the guerrillas said.
In addition to technical difficulties, the morale of the Russian occupiers is low. In addition, according to the guerrillas, some Russian soldiers are being sent to the islands as punishment.
The ATESH movement reports that the demoralized military units of the Russian occupiers are experiencing significant difficulties in carrying out operations, and such failures further reduce their combat effectiveness.
The guerrillas also reminded that all information about the activity of Russian troops is passed on to the Ukrainian Defense Forces to strengthen their counteraction to the Russian occupiers.
ATESH guerrilla movement
This guerrilla movement operates in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, as well as in Russia itself. It was created in 2022 by Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars to counter Russian aggression and promote the liberation of the occupied territories.
The name of the movement comes from the Crimean Tatar word for fire.
The movement is engaged in reconnaissance, sabotage, and destruction of Russian military equipment and infrastructure.
The organization consists of various groups, including civilians, who perform propaganda and information transfer tasks.
The movement's guerrillas reported that they had learned about the Russians' cunning in arranging military facilities in Crimea.
Also, the Russian occupier recently handed over to the guerrillas the location of the air defense and headquarters of the unit in the Donetsk region.
