Russians deliberately shelled Ukrainian Railways facilities
Overnight on September 3, Russians deliberately launched a massive attack on Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) facilities. However, not a single passenger train was canceled, according to Ukrzaliznytsia.
"In particular, infrastructure and rolling stock in the Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions were targeted. Fortunately, there were no casualties," the statement said.
Additionally, yesterday evening, a Ukrzaliznytsia worker's home in Pokrovsk came under enemy artillery fire. The worker is a locomotive depot driver, and from this city, railroad workers are currently organizing the evacuation of civilians while being forced to operate under constant enemy attacks.
The railroad worker and his wife, who is an employee of the primary trade union, were injured and taken to the hospital, Ukrzaliznytsia reported.
"Not a single passenger train was canceled, we continue to operate," added the press service.
September 3 night attack on Ukraine
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of September 3, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with 35 Shahed-131/136 strike drones. 27 Shahed-131/136 strike drones were shot down, while six were lost. Two more enemy drones flew towards the Belgorod region and the occupied Donetsk region, with no reports of destruction or casualties.
Additionally, overnight, the enemy attacked from occupied Crimea. The Russians launched an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile. From the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, a strike was carried out with a guided aviation missile, the Kh-59/69.
Air defense systems were active in the Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions.
