Russians confiscated land of Luhansk region residents who did not obtain Russian passports - NRC
Russians continue to restrict the rights of Ukrainians living in occupied territories who have not accepted Russian passports. The enemy has now started seizing land from residents of the Luhansk region, reports the National Resistance Center (NRC).
According to the information resource, the Kremlin has conducted yet another inventory of lands in the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk region. As a result, at least 18,000 hectares of land were identified as supposedly unclaimed.
"In reality, this so-called “ownerless” land consists of plots belonging to Ukrainian owners who have refused to change their citizenship or obtain Russian passports," the report states.
The National Resistance Center (NRC) reminded us that, as of January 1, 2025, Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories who have not received a Russian passport will lose all their rights. The Kremlin now refers to this category of citizens as stateless individuals.
As of January 5, the so-called registry of controlled persons was launched in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The National Resistance Center (NRC) explained that the enemy is adding Ukrainians who have refused to obtain a Russian passport to this registry.
