On the morning of November 16, Russian forces attempted to advance near the Antonivskyi railway bridge in Kherson region in an effort to push back Ukrainian defenders. This was stated by Southern Defense Forces spokesperson Vladyslav Voloshyn during a telethon broadcast.

"In the morning, the enemy also carried out an assault, attempting to advance near the Antonivskyi railway bridge. Regarding airstrikes: over the past day, the enemy launched an airstrike using 40 unguided aerial missiles on Odradokamianka," Voloshyn said.

He also noted that the enemy actively shelled Kherson itself with artillery. The attacks resulted in deaths, injuries, and significant destruction.

It should be recalled that Kherson and the surrounding region remain under daily enemy fire. Russian forces continuously shell from the left bank of the Dnipro River, using artillery, mortars, and kamikaze drones.

On October 24, a Russian Grad strike in Kherson killed the head of the local Ukrposhta branch.

On October 28, Russian forces shelled the Kherson community, killing one person, injuring two, and damaging residential buildings, garages, and infrastructure.
