Russian forces attacked Poltava region on the night of September 22, targeting energy infrastructure, reports the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Filip Pronin, on Telegram.

According to him, the occupiers attacked Poltava region with drones; fortunately, no one was injured. However, energy infrastructure was damaged in one area of the region.

As a result of the attack, 56 residential and 30 commercial consumers were left without electricity.

"Specialized teams are already working to restore power to the affected residents. The situation is under control," noted the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

What is known about the nighttime shelling

It was reported earlier on the evening of September 21 that Russian forces launched strike drones towards Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force tracked the movement of Shahed drones in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions.

In Khmelnytskyi region, a residential building was damaged as a result of the attack.

Additionally, the occupiers bombed Kharkiv. One bomb landed near a high-rise building, with reports of more than 20 injured.
