Liberation of Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi in the Kharkiv region
The cities of Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi were occupied during Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine. There were serious battles fought for Kupiansk, after which, in early September 2022, the Ukrainian Armed Forces expelled the enemy from the left-bank part of Kupiansk.
Following that, at the end of the month, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi also came under the control of Ukrainian forces. Russian forces have continued to shell these cities since then.
