Russians attack Beryslav, killing one person
Russian forces carried out an aerial attack on the city of Beryslav in the Kherson region in the morning of October 20. One person was reported killed in the attack, according to Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
"About an hour ago, Russian military conducted an airstrike on the city of Beryslav. According to preliminary information, one person has been killed," Klymenko stated.
Currently, units of the State Emergency Service and the National Police are inspecting the strike site.
During the course of this night, the occupying forces carried out six aerial strikes on villages in the Beryslav district. Russian military targeted Beryslav with multiple rocket launchers and artillery fire, resulting in damage to a private residence. Firefighters successfully extinguished the resulting fire.
Additionally, in the middle of the night, the enemy initiated artillery shelling of the city of Kherson. A private residence was damaged, but there were no reported casualties.
Situation in the Kherson region
Following the liberation of the right-bank areas of the Kherson region, a part of the region remains under constant shelling by occupiers. Russian forces are targeting the civilian population with heavy weaponry, artillery, and aviation.
Yesterday, October 19, explosions were reported in Kherson. It was later revealed that Russian troops were shelling the city from the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, affecting the central and Korabelnyi districts.
As a result of the shelling of Kherson, three people were injured.
Russian aggressors also struck the village of Stanislav in the Kherson region, resulting in one person being injured.
