Russian invaders attacked the town of Izium, Kharkiv region, with drones. The attack destroyed the local gymnasium and buildings, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to law enforcement officials, at about 3:15 a.m. on March 27, Russians attacked Izium with drones. Experts recovered the wreckage of three drones.

The attack damaged the gymnasium and nearby buildings. A 62-year-old civilian man, a security guard at the educational institution, was wounded in the Russian attack.

The Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Russian shelling of Ukraine on night of March 27

On the night of March 27, Russia fired 13 Shahed-type kamikaze drones at Ukraine. They were launched from the Kursk region of Russia.

The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed 10 Russian drones. The air defense system was operating in Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kyiv regions.

Natalia Humeniuk, a spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, explained that the Russians were conducting targeted strikes, probably to complicate the work of the air defense.
