Russian terrorist attack on Zaporizhzhia NPP: world's response to determine Russia's actions
Russia may resort to a terrorist attack at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant in order to establish an uninhabited exclusion zone for years, as part of a territorial status quo without ceasing hostilities. This statement was made by Mykhailo Podoliak, an advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, according to RBK-Ukraine, citing his Twitter account.
"Russia is incapable of holding Enerhodar city in the medium term and is therefore considering a large-scale terrorist attack on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to halt the Ukrainian counteroffensive and create an uninhabited gray sanitary zone fixed for the coming years, as part of the territorial status quo without ceasing hostilities. This strategy also includes attempts to strike Kinzhal missiles at the dam in Kryvyi Rih," Podolyak said.
According to the advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, the enemy is carrying out additional mining at the nuclear power plant, including the cooling pools. Whether the Kremlin dares to pursue such a scenario will depend solely on the reaction of the global community.
"Red lines must be drawn, and the consequences must be announced. Not tomorrow. Today," added Podolyak.
Preparation for the terrorist attack at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant
Recently, the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, warned that the occupiers had started additional mining at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The enemy has mined the cooling pool, the destruction of which will create "significant problems."
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said today, June 22, that he received a report from Ukrainian intelligence and the Security Service of Ukraine. According to him, the intelligence received information that Russia is considering a scenario of a terrorist act involving the release of radiation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
The President added that Ukraine has shared all available information with allies, including European and American countries, Africa, as well as China, Brazil, India, and the Arab world.
