Russian Su-30 fighter jet crashes in Kaliningrad region
A Russian Su-30 fighter jet crashed in the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation. Preliminarily, the aircraft's crew perished, according to "RIA Novosti."
As stated by the Western Military District of the Russian Federation, today on August 12th, in the Kaliningrad region, during a training flight, a Su-30 aircraft crashed. The fighter jet went down in an uninhabited area.
The Russians declare that the entire aircraft crew has perished.
"The flight was carried out without ammunition. According to preliminary information, the cause of the crash was a technical malfunction," as reported by the Russian media.
Note: The Kaliningrad region t is the westernmost region of Russia, surrounded by Poland and Lithuania. Approximately 950,000 people reside in this area.
