On the night of July 4, emergency medical service vehicles came under a Russian combined strike while heading out on calls to help injured people, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reports.

According to Klitschko, at least five ambulances were damaged during the shelling. These were medical vehicles that were already working at the sites of hits or moving toward the epicenters of destruction in various districts of the capital.

"As a result of the enemy's night attack on the capital, 5 ambulances that were responding to calls from injured residents of Kyiv were damaged," Klitschko said.

The mayor of the capital added that, so far, none of the ambulance medics have been injured.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko also published a photo of one of the damaged ambulances that was hit during the night attack by Russian drones and missiles.

An air raid alert in Kyiv was announced at 5:15 p.m. local time due to the threat of drone attacks. It lasted until 7:24 p.m., but at 8:00 p.m. sirens sounded again.

On the night of July 4, a series of powerful explosions thundered in Kyiv. The capital was under a combined attack by Russian terrorists: they struck with ballistic missiles and drones.

According to the latest data, due to tonight's combined enemy attack, 23 residents of Kyiv were injured. 14 of them were hospitalized. The others received outpatient care or assistance on the spot. Among the wounded is a 10-year-old girl.
