In the Huliaipole direction, Russian soldiers killed five Ukrainian defenders who had been captured, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to law enforcement, Russian forces shot the captured Ukrainian soldiers on the morning of November 27 in the Huliaipole direction in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Under the procedural guidance of the Zaporizhzhia regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched for violations of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.

The Prosecutor General's Office emphasized that such actions are a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and a serious international crime.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Execution of captured Ukrainian soldiers

Earlier, on November 22, the Prosecutor General's Office reported that in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region, Russian forces executed five Ukrainian prisoners of war.

This war crime occurred during an assault on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near the village of Kotlyne.

According to law enforcement, Russian forces laid the Ukrainian soldiers face down on the ground, and then one of the Russian soldiers shot them.

Additionally, on November 16, in the Huliaipole direction, Russian forces executed three Ukrainian soldiers who had been captured.

Propagandists released video footage of the execution on November 15.

Law enforcement has opened a criminal case for violations of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.
