Russian ship spotted in Black Sea without Kalibr missiles, Ukrainian Navy reports
As of 6:00 AM on December 10 (Kyiv time), Russia continues to maintain one ship in the Black Sea. It is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles, but today it is not carrying any missiles, reports the Ukrainian Navy.
Meanwhile, as in previous days, no enemy ships have been detected in the Sea of Azov. However, military forces have once again observed vessels in the Mediterranean Sea. Today, there are six such ships, four of which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo of up to 41 missiles.
The Ukrainian Navy also reported that, due to weather conditions, no ship passages through the Kerch Strait were recorded in the past 24 hours.
At the same time, the military reported that Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems.
Notably, earlier this summer, the Ukrainian Navy assessed whether Russia could launch missiles at Ukraine from its ships in the Mediterranean.
According to Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk, Russia is unlikely to take such a step. If it did, Russian missiles would violate the airspace of NATO countries.
