Russian Shahed attack on Ukraine: Air Defense Forces shot down all enemy targets
On the night of January 28-29, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type kamikaze drones. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed all enemy air targets, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the head of the press center of the South operational command Natalia Humeniuk.
"At night, the Russian occupiers struck again, using 8 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. All enemy drones were destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces and means," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine says in a statement.
Natalia Humeniuk notes that the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed four attack drones in the Mykolaiv region.
The wreckage of the downed drones damaged administrative buildings, an educational institution, and residential buildings. Fortunately, there were no fires or injuries.
Russian night attack on January 28
Late last night, on January 28, Russian troops fired several groups of Shaheds into Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force warned residents of the central and western regions about the threat of attack drones.
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration reports that Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed one Shahed in the Synelnykivskyi district yesterday evening.
