Russian radio signals to be blocked in frontline regions of Ukraine
In the frontline regions of Ukraine, Russian radio-electronic signals will be blocked. This step is being implemented to combat enemy propaganda, according to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that today, July 18, the government, by a separate decree, extends the system of special television and radio broadcasting to the Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
This system, among other things, involves the blocking of enemy radio-electronic signals.
Russian propaganda
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has been trying to promote fake news on the internet. In particular, Russians spread fake videos (deepfakes) with representatives of the government and military leadership on social networks.
For instance, recently, Russian occupiers launched a fake about an alleged offensive in the area of the settlement of Ryzhivka in the Sumy region, which was later refuted by the Defense Forces.
For more details on why Russia is spreading rumors about the capture of Ryzhivka, see RBC-Ukraine's report.
