Russian overnight attack damages homes and injures people in Odesa

Russia launched a combined attack on Odesa overnight on August 9, using drones and ballistic missiles. The attack caused damage and left people injured, according to Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration.
The combined attack on the city began at around 3:30 a.m. and lasted for about an hour or longer. In addition to drones, ballistic missiles were repeatedly launched at the city during the attack.
As of the morning, at least six people were reported injured in the city, and damage was reported.
"At this time, we know of six people injured in the enemy attack on Odesa. They are receiving all necessary assistance. Residential buildings were damaged in several districts of the city. Cars also caught fire," the statement said.

All emergency and municipal services are currently working at the sites.
Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper confirmed the attack on the region and said the number of people injured in Odesa had risen to eight. Seven of them are in moderate condition. Most of the victims sustained shrapnel wounds.
"The enemy used several dozen missiles and drones. Infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged. Odesa suffered the most extensive damage. Several residential buildings in two districts were damaged and partially destroyed. Residents' cars were also destroyed or damaged by fire," Kiper added.

Russian attacks on Odesa region
It should be recalled that Odesa region also came under Russian attack on August 5. The strike damaged seven residential buildings and cars.
In addition, transport infrastructure in the region was attacked on August 3. A fire broke out at one of the facilities following the strikes.
