Russian offensive in Kharkiv region failed - Zelenskyy
The Russian offensive in the Kharkiv region has failed. The Ukrainian forces have stopped the enemy, says President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, responding to RBC-Ukraine at a press conference.
"In the Kharkiv region, humans or non-humans of Russia have been stopped. Their offensive has failed. All experts acknowledge that Russia's offensive on Kharkiv has failed. I would say that it was stopped by our soldiers and appropriate weapons. Anyway, let's highly appreciate the service of our guys," the president said.
Russia's offensive in Kharkiv region
Russian troops became more active in the north of the Kharkiv region in May. They also tried to break through the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Vovchansk. Russia intensified attacks on frontline settlements of Ukraine, after which Kyiv's Western partners eased restrictions on using their weapons against Russian territory.
In the end, the Russian offensive, as the president said, failed. For now, they are bogged down in that direction.
