Russian night shelling in Kherson: Couple died
As a result of the night artillery shelling of Kherson on December 24, there are casualties and injuries, including a married couple, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
Russians hit a residential building with an artillery shell. As a result, a family was affected.
"On the spot, an 87-year-old man and his 81-year-old wife died," wrote Prokudin.
Also, a 54-year-old resident of Kherson was injured due to the shelling. He sustained injuries.
"A 54-year-old resident of Kherson received explosive injuries, a concussion, and leg wounds. After receiving assistance, he refused hospitalization," the head reported.
In one of the city's districts, during the removal of debris, rescuers found the body of a deceased man.
"Also, in the Central district of the city, while clearing debris, rescuers found the body of a deceased man. His identity is being established," Prokudin said.
Shelling of Kherson
After the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, part of the region is under constant shelling by occupiers. Russians target the civilian population with heavy weapons, artillery, and aviation.
On December 23, the occupiers shelled Kherson 15 times: 7 times during the day and 8 times at night. Seven people, including a child, were affected during the daytime shelling.
Also, on December 22, a woman was injured during Russian artillery shelling while walking on the street.
