Russian night attack: Armed forces detail drone and missile strike
Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight with guided missiles S-300 and 13 Shahed drones. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed all strike drones, according to the Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
Oleshchuk reported that the drones and missiles were launched by Russians from the Belgorod region.
"On the night of May 4, 2024, the enemy attacked with 13 Shahed-131/136 strike drones and four guided missiles S-300. All launches were conducted from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation," the commander announced.
According to the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, all 13 drones were shot down by defenders in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
"As a result of combat operations by air defense missile units and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, 13 strike drones were destroyed in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions," Oleshchuk said.

Russians launched Shaheds into Ukrainian territory overnight. Explosions were reported in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
In Kharkiv, Russian forces targeted civilian infrastructure - there were 2 strikes, with casualties reported.
There were also reports of explosions in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region.
