According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, as of Monday morning, August 7, Russia's losses have risen to 540 soldiers, with a cumulative total of 250,240 military personnel lost since the commencement of the invasion. Additionally, Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully neutralized 7 tanks and 8 armored personnel carriers (APCs) belonging to Russian forces.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 07.08.23 were approximately:

  • personnel ‒ about 250240 (+540) persons were liquidated,
  • tanks ‒ 4244 (+7),
  • APV ‒ 8270 (+8),
  • artillery systems – 4977 (+12),
  • MLRS – 709 (+4),
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems ‒ 467 (+1),
  • aircraft – 315 (+0),
  • helicopters – 311 (+0),
  • UAV operational-tactical level – 4154 (+28),
  • cruise missiles ‒ 1377 (+18),
  • warships / boats ‒ 18 (+0),
  • vehicles and fuel tanks – 7451 (+10),
  • special equipment ‒ 735 (+1).

Frontline situation

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff's reports, there were 50 combat clashes on the frontlines in the previous day. Ukrainian artillery struck 2 command posts, 2 personnel concentration areas, 2 artillery positions, and one enemy radio-electronic warfare station. The Institute for War Studies notes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to counterattack, although progress from both sides has slowed in recent days. In Klischiivka, artillery remains a hindrance to seizing the initiative.
